Career Development

For those of our staff who hold accounting degrees and are employed in either the Assurance & Advisory Business Services, or the Tax and Business Services divisions, they are encouraged to commence the Chartered Accountant (CA) Program within the first 12 months of their employment. Once completed, the CA Program enables you to obtain membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia (ICAA).

The CA Program is set by the ICAA and the requirements of the ICAA may vary from year to year. You may wish to look at the ICAA website.

Here at Merit Partners we are committed to supporting staff to complete the CA Program. For more detailed information about financial assistance, study leave and other support available please give us a call to discuss.

Testimonial

“During my studies of the CA Program, Merit Partners provided invaluable assistance by way of fees, study leave and workshops. I was able to draw on the wealth of knowledge of the Partners and staff who have undertaken the CA Program themselves and have extensive experience in the Industry. Management were sensitive to my study needs with my allocated work planned around my study timetable. I was impressed with the commitment of the Partners and staff who are very encouraging and also provide their own personal hints and tips to get through this demanding course. I now enjoy helping my colleagues that are undertaking the CA Program.” - Daniel Merritt

Merit Partners also support their staff in the Certified Practising Accountant Program if they choose this path.
